Located in the Haeundae District of Busan, South Korea, Haeundae Beach is a one-and-a-half-kilometer-long and 50-meter-wide white sand beach with few rocky portions.  It is recognized as one of the most popular and famous beaches in South Korea.  Haeundae Beach is positioned along the coast of the Sea of Japan, which is also known as the East Sea, and has a beautiful backdrop of many oceanfront buildings, including cafes, shops, convenience stores, apartments, resorts, upscale restaurants, luxurious hotels, the Busan Aquarium, and the Haeundae LCT, The Sharp Landmark Tower, the tallest building in Busan.  Also, visitors can enjoy incredible views of the Statue of the Leaping Man and the Haeundae Red Lady in the waters near the beach.

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants on Haeundae Beach.  Camellia is a popular Haeundae Beach restaurant that serves delicious salads, seafood, meat, and poultry dishes.  La Scala is another popular beachfront upscale restaurant that serves incredible Italian food.  Sheobul is an upscale waterfront restaurant that serves incredible Korean dishes.  Namaste Haeundae serves amazing Indian curries, flatbreads, seafood, meat, and poultry dishes. If you are looking for another affordable nearby restaurant, Giyohang Haeundae serves incredible Japanese food.

If you are looking for hotels near Haeundae Beach, many great options are nearby.  If you are looking for an upscale hotel, the beachfront 5-Star The Westin Josun Busan is positioned right on the beach and offers many amenities, including two indoor pools, a spa, a hot tub, a fitness center, and many restaurants.  A more affordable option is the 4-Star Haeundae Seacloud Hotel, which offers several amenities, including a fitness center and many restaurants.  Another moderately priced option is the 4-Star Haeundae Central Hotel, which has a few amenities, including a rooftop pool, a fitness center, and a restaurant.   A more reasonably priced option is the 3-Star Paledecz Condominium, which offers a few amenities, including an indoor pool, a fitness center, hot tubs, and a restaurant.  If you are looking for another good and affordable nearby hotel, the Haeundae Marianne Hotel offers a few amenities, including a rooftop pool, a hot tub, and a restaurant.

Haeundae Beach offers many amenities, including seasonal lifeguards, restrooms, showers, shaded areas, sun loungers and parasol rental facilities, beach equipment rental facilities, nearby shopping centers, convenience stores, a beach train, beach bars, restaurants, many hotels, and a paved promenade.

Haeundae Beach offers many fun activities, including swimming, sunbathing, beachcombing, snorkeling, diving, jet skiing, paddle boarding, banana boat rides, train rides, and picnicking.  If you are planning to go into the water, it is a naturally sheltered bay, making it a safe swimming area.   Visitors can explore the well-known Busan Aquarium, positioned right on the beach, one of South Korea's largest.   Visitors can enjoy the Haeundae Beach Train that runs along the beach, providing incredible views of the southeast tip of the Korean Peninsula.  Visitors can go to a nearby Haeundae market known for its fresh seafood to enjoy Haeundae Beach street food.  Haeundae Beach hosts several festivals, including the Haeundae Sand Festival, the Full Moon Festival, the Polar Bear Swim Festival, the Busan International Film Festival, music concerts, and electronic sports events for games like StarCraft.  The beach attracts over 10 million visitors yearly, especially during summer.  Haeundae Beach is connected to a small island, Dongbaekseom Island, which can be easily accessible by a walking path.  The beach attracts a large influx of visitors due to its convenient location.  Dogs are allowed if they are on a leash, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.

Haeundae Beach offers an access path for people with disabilities.

Getting to Haeundae Beach is easy - the beach has a paid parking lot located at 622-4 U-dong, Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea, which provides easy access to the beach.  Alternatively, visitors can also park their vehicles at 1411-6 U-dong Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea. 

Haeundae Beach is easily accessible by public transportation, including the Busan Metro or a public bus.

If you are traveling from Busan Station to Haeundae Station, visitors can take a subway from Busan Station (line 1) with a one-line transfer that takes around 50 minutes to reach Haeundae Station (line 2).  To access the beach, visitors can use Exit 3 or Exit 5 from Haeundae Station and walk for five minutes.

The beach is famous for its beautiful night views, with illuminated skyscrapers reflecting on the water.  In addition, it set a Guinness World Record in 2008 with 7,937 beach umbrellas.

There are many attractions near Haeundae Beach.   Sea Life Busan Aquarium is home to over 35,000 marine creatures from around the world, including sharks, rays, turtles, and various species of fish.  It has an 80-meter-long underwater tunnel, providing a 360-degree view of sharks and other marine life swimming overhead.  In addition, visitors can enjoy a variety of interactive experiences, including touch pools and animal feeding sessions.  It also has a 4D theater experience where visitors enjoy short films about marine life with enhanced sensory effects.  The Bay 101 is a modern, vibrant complex with restaurants, cafes, a rooftop garden area, a shopping arcade, and a yacht club.  Visitors can enjoy many recreational activities, including boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, cruising, dining, and shopping.  In addition, it hosts numerous art exhibitions, cultural events, and performances, where you can enjoy a blend of art and culture in a scenic setting.  Cheongsapo Daritdol Observatory is a 72.5-meter-long, striking coastal observatory with a glass-floor walkway in the shape of a blue dragon that extends out over the sea, providing a thrilling experience and offering panoramic views of the East Sea and the surrounding coastline.

Cheongsapo Twin Lighthouses are iconic red and white lighthouses located near the Cheongsapo fishing village on a rocky coastline, guiding ships safely into ports and offering spectacular views of the East Sea and the surrounding coastline.  There is a seaside boardwalk near the lighthouses, perfect for a leisurely stroll while enjoying the sound of the waves and the fresh sea breeze.   If you are looking for another nearby attraction, Museum 1 is a prominent cultural institution known for its modern architecture and diverse interactive exhibits, including contemporary art, historical artifacts, and multimedia installations.  It hosts a variety of art fairs, cultural festivals, workshops, and lectures that attract many visitors of all ages.
